Our team

Escient’s President, Marie-Claude Coulombe, has more than 25 years of experience in finance and taxation. Previously, she was an affiliate partner in the Canadian corporate tax group at KPMG, where she received an award of excellence for customer service in 2008. She joined our team in 2010.

Outside the firm, Marie-Claude is a trainer, tutor and speaker on tax issues for members of Chartered Professional Accountants Canada. She is also a frequent participant in conferences for those working in the dental field.

Marie-Claude helps her clients optimize their companies’ and families’ tax situation. She also specializes in consulting services related to reorganizations and company acquisitions and sales. She is passionate about her work as well as human relationships, and makes her clients’ satisfaction her top priority. Her natural talent for leadership helps her employees on the road to success. She takes great pride in their professional accomplishments.

When she isn’t at work, Marie-Claude can often be found on a golf course or savouring fine wine. Her two pastimes give her an excellent excuse to travel the world.
