Our team

After a brief stint as a land surveyor, Marcel Thibodeau decided his career needed a new direction, and he registered for the accounting program at UQAM. At the university, he met Gilles Cauvier and Christian Godin while working on a student newspaper. Realizing that they made a good team, the three men would later get together to found the GCT firm, which became Escient in 2020. Today Mr. Thibodeau is one of the firm’s Vice-Presidents, with more than 30 years of experience in the industry.

Mr. Thibodeau provides tax-consulting services to individuals and companies. His clients also engage him for audits and financial quality control mandates. He performs financial analyses for them to facilitate their decision-making.

A cheerful and communicative professional, he handles files expertly and is adept at explaining complex situations in plain language.

In his spare time, Mr. Thibodeau enjoys horseback riding and camping. He likes to cook, and often goes to the movies. When he gets the chance, he travels to recharge his batteries.
